Security Camera Installation in SW Wisconsin
Wired security cameras for homes, farms and businesses, installed by licensed electricians who also run the power and the network they depend on.
Cameras That Work Because the Wiring Does
Most camera problems are wiring problems: a Wi-Fi camera at the edge of the signal, a battery that dies in January, a cable pushed through an attic with no drip loop. Sparks Electrical Solutions installs hardwired camera systems, PoE (power over Ethernet) IP cameras with a recorder, or the kit you already bought, with clean cable runs, sealed wall penetrations and a dedicated circuit for the recorder when it needs one.
One licensed crew handles the mounting, the cabling, the power and the setup, so you get a clear picture on your phone when it matters.

Already Bought a Kit?
Bring it. If the box is sitting in the garage because the cable runs looked like too much, we install it. We tell you up front if a camera location needs a different cable or mount, and we never push you to replace equipment that works.

Homes and Acreages
Front door, driveway, garage, back yard and the barn or shed out past the Wi-Fi. Cameras far from the house are exactly where battery and wireless models fail, so we run cable to them, or a dedicated point-to-point link for a building too far for copper, and power them from the recorder. You see every camera in one app, and the recordings stay on your own recorder.
Shops, Stores and Farms
Entrances, registers, fuel tanks, equipment yards, loading doors and calving barns. We place cameras to cover the approaches and the valuables, put the recorder in a locked closet or office on its own circuit, and tie the cameras into your network so the owner and a manager can both check in from a phone.
Power, Cable and Code
The part a camera company subcontracts is the part we do every day: fishing cable through finished walls, drilling and sealing masonry, siding and steel, mounting at height from our own bucket truck, grounding and surge protection, and a labeled dedicated circuit for the recorder. Where a permit is required we pull it.
Across the River in Minnesota
Calls in La Crescent, Winona, Caledonia, Houston and the other southeast Minnesota towns we serve are handled by our master electrician licensed in Minnesota. Electrical permits and inspections there go through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you install cameras I already bought?
Yes. Most kits are fine; the hard part is the cable runs, the mounting and the power, which is what we do. If a kit will not do what you want from it, we say so before we start.
Wired or wireless cameras?
Wired. A PoE camera gets power and data from one cable, records around the clock and never needs a battery changed on a ladder in February. Wireless cameras are fine for a spot where cable truly cannot go, and we tell you which spots those are.
Can I see the cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set up remote viewing on your phone, tablet or TV before we leave and show you how to pull up a recording.
How many cameras do I need?
We walk the property with you and cover the approaches first: the driveway, each entry door, the garage or shop door and anything valuable outside. The estimate is free and lists each camera location.
Do the cameras still record if the internet goes out?
Yes. Recording happens on the recorder in your building, not in the cloud. Only remote viewing from outside the house needs the internet.
Do you monitor the cameras?
The systems we install are self-monitored: they record locally and send alerts to your phone. We install, wire and set them up; there is no monthly monitoring contract from us.
